ABOUT THE DERMOT EARLY YOUTH LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE

The Dermot Earley Youth Leadership initiative at St Eunan’s GAA club is a unique programme which evokes and honours the values Dermot Earley epitomised and tries to foster them in a new generation of young Irish leaders.

During the programme our young GAA members gain aptitudes in essential leadership skills in a safe and supportive environment. Module one focuses on the individual and their leadership skills, building their self-awareness, community skills, values and communication skills. Module two focuses on their ability to lead as part of a team enabling them to cultivate their skills further. Module three focuses on their individual leadership aspirations and offered the participants the opportunity to lead their own project within their community. The programme empowers young people to enhance their leadership capabilities to better enable them to reach their full potential and have a positive impact on the world around them.

On completion members participating in this initiative will gain an NUIG  FETAC level 6 third level qualification in Youth Leadership and Community Action. This raffle is a fundraiser to help support these young participants in the payment of their administration fees for their NUIG cert and to also support them travelling to Galway for their graduation.
